July 2020

Presented by:  Emiko Suzuki and Peggy Snow - Ikenobo School

"Making a Free Style Arrangement from Three Stems of Materials"

This was a Zoom meeting. Emiko and Peggy prepared a 22 minute video demonstrating several arrangements made with a total of three stems--not three different KINDS of material, but with a TOTAL of three pieces of material. They were in Free Style form and not just three stems lined up with each other like a traditional Shoka.

An "at home workshop" was assigned for members to try their hands at making a three stem arrangement.  Making this kind of minimalist arrangement is a challenge. The membership accepted this challenge and gave it a try.  They sent their home photos to Patti for editing and to include here for your enjoyment.  The photos of Peggy and Emiko were taken by using a screenshot which are pretty good considering the circumstances.
